Slothrust is the brainchild of singer/guitarist Leah Wellbaum and drummer Will Gorin — a duo approaching a decade since their fiercely innovative debut Of Course You Do. The band first bonded over a shared love of blues and jazz and has since continued to create rock the way they know best, moving it forward with an expansive and unconventional lean. Since their debut, Slothrust have supported acts like Manchester Orchestra, Front Bottoms, and Highly Suspect and built a large touring audience for their visceral live performances. For five seasons, their track “7:30 AM” was featured as the theme song for FX Series “You’re the Worst.” In 2021 the band released their four record Parallel Timeline, a cosmic, emotionally charged EP that dug deep into questions of identity, time, and perception.
