HONK NYC presents BONK! at Barbes: What happens when street band music comes inside? Expect a monthly dose of our favorite brass and percussion artists honking their hearts out with original tunes, slamming solos, and untethered experimentation. THE HONK FAMILY BAND HONK NYC started a new chapter in creating community through music in Summer 2022: the HONK Family Band, established on the Open Streets of NYC. Led by HONK NYC's first-ever musical director Elijah J. Thomas & assistant director Skyler Hagner, HFB is a multi-dimensional community ensemble created to connect musicians, sound-makers, dancers and spectacle-doers across the city.
