9/28/24 is the record release show for the Giraffes' eighth full length studio release "Cigarette". The album was recorded over the last five years encompassing the recent rapid decline in the western world and develops lyrical themes about fear, uselessness, death, covid, longing, strength and misunderstanding. The music was self recorded by the band in their new studio practice space with mixing and additional tracking done at Studio G in Brooklyn and elsewhere. Joining them on stage is the inimitable Zohra Atash who will be performing her unique blend of atmospheric goth songs that are tinged with deep menace and longing. Finishing out the night is Timo Ellis’s long standing project Netherlands that combines absolute crushing force with nimble and heartfelt lyrics and singing. It's massive, fully saturated and heavier than uranium.
