Tom Bailey is a British musician and keyboardist best known as a founding member of the synth-pop band Thompson Twins, formed in Sheffield in 1977. The band became prominent in the 1980s with a distinctive electronic pop sound that blended synthesizers, drum machines, and Bailey's distinctive vocals on hits like "Hold Me Now" and "In the Gap." Their music drew from post-punk and new wave influences while incorporating dance and pop sensibilities.
