Thompson Twins were a British pop group prominent in the 1980s, primarily known for their synth-pop sound. Influenced by the burgeoning new wave and post-punk movements, their music often featured catchy melodies, electronic instrumentation, and polished production. Core members Tom Bailey, Alannah Currie, and Joe Leeway helped define their sound with a blend of synthesizers, drum machines, and layered vocals. Hits like "Hold Me Now" and "Doctor! Doctor!" exemplify their ability to craft memorable pop songs with a modern edge.
