The Mission is a British rock band known for their blend of gothic rock and post-punk elements. Formed in 1986 by former Sisters of Mercy members Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams, the band draws notable influences from acts like The Cure and Led Zeppelin, which is reflected in their atmospheric soundscapes and melodic guitar work. Their music is characterized by a combination of ethereal vocals, driving bass lines, and layered guitar textures, defining their place in the alternative rock scene of the late 1980s and beyond.
