The Human League is a British synth-pop band formed in Sheffield in 1977. Known for their pioneering use of synthesizers, their sound is characterized by catchy melodies and layered electronic textures. Influenced by the early electronic music of Kraftwerk and the glam rock of David Bowie, they helped shape the sound of the 1980s pop music. Their 1981 album "Dare" and its hit single "Don't You Want Me" are defining works that highlight their ability to blend pop sensibilities with innovative electronic production.
