The Great Dying is an Americana and alt-country project led by Mississippi-based musician Will Griffith. Their sound is characterized by raw, narrative-driven songwriting that draws from Southern rock, blues, and folk influences. Griffith's poignant lyrics often explore themes of heartache and resilience, supported by a blend of acoustic and electric instrumentation. Influences such as Townes Van Zandt and Drive-By Truckers can be heard in their music, which remains rooted in storytelling and authentic expression.
