Talking Heads were an American rock band formed in 1975, known for their innovative blend of punk, art rock, and new wave. Influenced by artists such as The Velvet Underground and David Bowie, they incorporated elements of funk, world music, and avant-garde techniques into their sound. Defined by David Byrne's distinctive vocal delivery and the band's rhythmic complexity, Talking Heads became a key figure in the development of alternative rock in the late 20th century.
