Comprised of Julia Kugel, formerly of The Coathangers, and her husband Scott Montoya, ex-drummer of The Growlers, their music is characterized by ethereal vocals, lush guitar tones, and atmospheric synths. Influenced by artists like Mazzy Star and Beach House, Soft Palms creates a sound that is both nostalgic and contemporary, focusing on mood and texture to craft immersive sonic landscapes.
