Siouxsie & The Banshees were an influential British band known for their pioneering role in the post-punk and gothic rock genres. Formed in 1976, their sound was characterized by atmospheric guitar work, innovative drumming, and the distinctive vocals of Siouxsie Sioux. The band drew inspiration from punk rock, glam rock, and the darker aspects of 1960s psychedelia. Their music often explored themes of alienation and introspection, helping to shape the direction of alternative music in the late 20th century.
