Ricardo Villalobos is a Chilean-German DJ and producer known for his contributions to the minimal techno and microhouse genres. His sound is characterized by intricate rhythms, subtle textures, and an emphasis on extended, evolving tracks. Influenced by early electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk and the minimalism of Steve Reich, Villalobos has carved out a niche with his innovative approach to DJing and production. His work often blurs the lines between dance music and avant-garde experimentation, making him a distinctive figure in the electronic music scene.
