Planet Patrol is an American electro and hip-hop group that emerged in the early 1980s. Known for their distinctive blend of electronic beats and soulful vocals, the group was heavily influenced by the burgeoning electro-funk movement and artists like Afrika Bambaataa and Kraftwerk. Their sound is defined by the use of synthesizers and drum machines, creating a futuristic yet danceable groove. The group's self-titled debut album, released in 1983, remains a notable contribution to the electro genre.
