Pictish Trail is the musical project of Scottish musician Johnny Lynch, known for his eclectic blend of indie folk and electronic pop. Drawing influences from artists like Beck and Beta Band, Lynch crafts a sound that combines lo-fi textures with melodic hooks and introspective lyrics. His work often features layered vocals and a mix of acoustic and synthesized instrumentation, creating a distinctive, genre-blurring style. Based on the Isle of Eigg, Lynch is also a key figure in the Scottish music scene through his label, Lost Map Records.
