Panopticon is a one-man black metal project founded by Austin Lunn in 2007. The project is known for blending traditional black metal elements with American folk and bluegrass influences, creating a distinctive sound that explores themes of nature, personal introspection, and socio-political issues. Lunn's work often features atmospheric guitar work, layered instrumentation, and the use of traditional folk instruments, setting Panopticon apart in the metal scene. His approach draws inspiration from bands like Agalloch and Wolves in the Throne Room, while also incorporating his own unique stylistic elements.
