Nine Treasures is an alt-metal band formed in 2010 in Inner Mongolia, China, by vocalist and guitarist Askhan Avagchuud. The band combines heavy metal with traditional Mongolian instrumentation, including the balalaika and morin khuur (horsehead fiddle), alongside conventional vocals and Mongolian throat singing. Nine Treasures have performed at festivals including Wacken Open Air and Przystanek Woodstock, and play over 100 festival shows and headlining gigs per year across Asia.
