Monolord is a Swedish heavy rock band formed in 2012, known for their slow, crushing doom metal sound. The band draws influence from classic heavy rock and stoner metal, with a particular emphasis on thick, distorted guitar tones and hypnotic rhythms. Their music is characterized by minimalist song structures, deep basslines, and a focus on atmosphere over technical complexity. Monolord has released several albums including "Empress Rising" (2014) and "The Siege" (2017), establishing themselves as part of the contemporary Scandinavian heavy music scene.
