Momix is an internationally renowned dance and visual illusion company based in Washington, Connecticut, under the direction of Moses Pendleton. Botanica, created in 2009 and revived in 2026, is a lush, surreal journey through nature's changing imagery following the rhythms of the seasons and the passing of a day. The piece blends athletic movement with larger-than-life spectacle, set to an eclectic score ranging from birdsong to Vivaldi. Momix presents work combining movement, illusion, athleticism, and visual poetry through light, shadow, fabric, props, and the human body.
