Matt Robidoux is a San Francisco-based composer and improviser who plays the "corn synth," a modular synthesizer controlled by touch-sensitive aluminum sculptures shaped like ears of corn. They work in free improvisation and electroacoustic music, and are part of several ensembles including Flatways, an electroacoustic improvising trio, and The Gleaners, a duo with Laetitia Sonami. Robidoux performs at venues including The Lab, bird and beckett, Center for New Music, Adobe Books, Jazz Gallery, Clyfford Still Museum, and BRIC-a-BRAC.
