Matt Bunsen — artist

Every time Matt Bunsen hits the stage has one primary goal in mind: TO ENTERTAIN. How does he accomplish that? With songs that are witty, clever, memorable, and creative. Matt eschews songs about personal pain and sorrow in favor of topics such as enlightenment, life, and sex & drugs & rock-n-roll. His solo acoustic shows are engaging, thought provoking and generally a lot of fun. Matt is adept at the art of song craft and composition, with recordings that range from instrumental rockers, to straight-up comedy. He combines engaging storytelling with memorable, sing-along choruses, most famously on the tracks “Beer”, “We All Gotta Get High” and “I’m Yosemite Sam” wherein he sets the Yosemite Sam Wikipedia entry to an outlaw country soundscape. Matt’s forth studio album is due this year and a solo acoustic tour is expected to follow. Music Placements/Features Dr. Demento, Discovery Channel, Ben and Jerry’s Factory Tour (Waterbury, VT), NPR, MTV Real World, One Life to Live, Freakonomics Podcast, MTV Road Rules, several indie films Comedy Matt has performed at Flappers Comedy Club in Burbank, and was a finalist in the Uncle Claude’s Comedy Competition in 2013. Memory Failure It’s my biggest flaw… my memory sucks. I can’t remember the names of restaurants, streets, song titles and much to my chagrin, I also have trouble remembering peoples faces and names. I don’t know if it’s old age or too much weed, but its a problem. And I apologize if I should forget yours.
