Loose Ends is a British R&B band known for their smooth blend of soul, funk, and electronic elements, prominent in the 1980s. The group, originally consisting of Carl McIntosh, Jane Eugene, and Steve Nichol, drew notable influences from American soul and funk acts, as well as the burgeoning UK soul scene. Their sound is defined by polished production, catchy melodies, and the integration of synthesizers and drum machines, which helped them achieve success with hits like "Hangin' on a String (Contemplating)."
