Jonny Tex is an indie rock band from Boston, Massachusetts that melds basement heavy riffs with western soundtrack guitar licks and earnest absurdism. Their music runs on slacker pop precision with Western undertones woven through East Coast restraint. The band has performed at Crystal Ballroom and Lilypad, and released their EP "Mark of Cain" featuring wide-eyed indie rock, alt-western isolation, and Dinosaur Jr.-inspired songs about men performing as someone larger than themselves.
