Jamiroquai is a British funk and acid jazz band formed in London in 1992, led by vocalist Jay Kay. The group blends funk, soul, and jazz influences with electronic and hip-hop elements, creating a distinctive sound that emerged during the 1990s acid jazz movement. Their music is characterized by groovy bass lines, live instrumentation, and Kay's soulful vocals, with production that incorporates both organic and synthesized sounds. The band achieved mainstream success with albums like "Travelling Without Moving" (1996) and became known for their energetic live performances and visually distinctive music videos.
