Ida Prester — artist

Ida Prester is a Croatian television host and singer of the bands Lollobrigida, Frau Casio, and MAiKA. The band Lollobrigida was formed in 2003 when Ida distributed demo CDs to several underground musicians in Zagreb. On that demo CD, she performed all the instrumental and vocal parts, and she wrote and composed all the songs herself using a computer. The genres Ida represented were electropop and synth-pop. She has performed with the band multiple times at the Exit Festival, and in 2009, she won the MTV award for Best Adria Act. The project Frau Casio was created in 2013, where Ida expressed her matured love for electropop, which was slightly darker than the one that brought her fame with the Lollobrigida project. Since 2017, Ida has also been part of the band "MAiKA," which represents a fusion of indie, punk, and folk. In the same year, they released their first single, "River Sava." Ida is also known for publicly advocating for the rights of the LGBT+ community. In her column, she emphasized that same-sex couples should not be denied the right to parenthood. She performed at the opening of the Merlinka Festival in 2017, the Belgrade Pride Parade in 2018, and the #bićebolje campaign, which aims to increase tolerance towards individuals with different sexual orientations.
