Hypno5e is a progressive metal band from the south of France formed in 2003. They blend heavy music, the avant-garde, and post-rock with immersive samples and Latin American influences across expansive songs they describe as cinematic metal. Their seventh album, Trame Noire, was released in 2026 as a follow-up to their conceptual duology A Distant (Dark) Source and Sheol, telling the story of a protagonist confronting trauma over the course of one night.
