Hiromi Uehara is a Japanese jazz pianist known for blending bebop, fusion, and electronic elements with high-energy performances. Collaborating with the Dutch Metropole Orkest, a renowned big band ensemble, Hiromi creates dynamic large-ensemble arrangements that combine her virtuosic piano playing with orchestral textures. Her influences include traditional jazz piano alongside contemporary electronic music and world music elements. The partnership is defined by improvisational interplay between Hiromi's rapid-fire technique and the orchestra's full sound, resulting in a contemporary take on jazz that bridges acoustic and electronic worlds.
