Hed PE is an American rap metal band from Huntington Park, California, formed in the mid-1990s. The group blends heavy metal instrumentation with hip-hop vocals and lyrics, drawing influences from nu metal and West Coast rap. Their sound is characterized by aggressive guitar riffs, rhythmic vocal delivery, and often socially conscious or provocative lyrical content. The band gained underground recognition through their independent releases and touring before achieving wider exposure in the early 2000s. Key members have included MC Jani Lane (vocals), Chizad (guitar), and others who have rotated throughout the band's history.
