Haddaway is a Trinidadian-German eurodance and pop artist who rose to prominence in the 1990s. He is best known for his 1993 hit single "What Is Love," which became a defining track of the eurodance era and achieved worldwide commercial success. His musical style blends upbeat dance rhythms with pop sensibilities, drawing from the eurodance movement that dominated European clubs in the early 1990s. Beyond his signature hit, Haddaway released several albums throughout the decade but remained primarily associated with the dance-pop sound of that period.
