Grandbrothers is a German-Swiss duo known for their innovative blend of electronic and acoustic music, primarily categorized under the genres of ambient and neoclassical. The group consists of pianist Erol Sarp and producer Lukas Vogel, who utilize a unique setup where a grand piano is augmented with electronic elements and custom-built software. Influenced by minimalist composers such as Steve Reich and electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk, their sound is defined by intricate piano melodies interwoven with rhythmic loops and textured soundscapes, creating a distinct fusion of organic and synthetic tones.
