Götz Alsmann is a singer and pianist who performs jazz-schlager, a blend of classical schlager music from 1910 to 1965 with jazz rhythms. He performs with the Götz Alsmann Band, which includes Altfrid M. Sicking on vibraphone and xylophone, Ingo Senst on bass, Dominik Hahn on drums, and Markus Paßlick on percussion. The band tours extensively, performing up to one hundred concerts annually, and currently performs the program "…bei Nacht…". Alsmann also hosts a radio show on WDR 3 and has recorded albums with the WDR Big Band and SWR Big Band.
