Flore Laurentienne is a seven-piece ensemble led by composer and keyboardist Mathieu David Gagnon, featuring a string quartet, two keyboardists, and percussionists. The group's music combines strings with analog synthesizers, drawing from classical counterpoint, progressive rock, and electronic minimalism to create instrumental compositions described as dense, generous, and lyrically expressive. The ensemble's sound is anchored by a MiniMoog synthesizer paired with orchestral strings.
