Electric Wizard is a British doom metal band formed in 1991, known for their heavy, psychedelic approach to the genre. Drawing influences from 1970s heavy metal, blues rock, and psychedelia, they combine slow, distorted guitar riffs with fuzzy production and occult-themed lyrics. Their sound is characterized by thick, layered instrumentation and a deliberately lo-fi aesthetic that became a defining trait of their work. Albums like "Dopethrone" (2000) and "Come My Fanatics" (1997) established them as key figures in stoner and doom metal, influencing countless bands in the genre.
