Eddie & the Hot Rods were a British rock band formed in the mid-1970s, emerging from the pub rock and proto-punk scenes. Known for their energetic, guitar-driven rock sound with strong rhythm and blues influences, they helped bridge the gap between traditional rock and the emerging punk movement. Their music featured straightforward, blues-based riffs and a raw, unpretentious approach that resonated with working-class audiences. The band gained a cult following in the UK during the late 1970s and continued performing and recording through subsequent decades, maintaining their no-frills rock and roll ethos.
