Dylan Carlson — artist
Dylan Carlson has 1 upcoming show, next at Kilowatt Bar on Sun, Nov 22. Dates, venues and tickets on Ckord.
Dylan Carlson is an American guitarist and songwriter best known as the founder and primary creative force behind the drone metal band Earth, formed in the early 1990s. His work is characterized by heavily distorted, slow-moving guitar riffs that emphasize texture and atmosphere over traditional song structures, drawing influence from Black Sabbath and experimental rock. Earth's minimalist approach to metal helped establish the drone metal subgenre, with Carlson's thick, fuzzy guitar tone and extended compositions defining the project's sound. Beyond Earth, Carlson has collaborated with various artists and released solo work that explores similar themes of sonic density and meditative heaviness.
