Carlos Sadness is a singer, composer, and illustrator from Barcelona who combines indie music with tropical sounds in a style he calls galactropical. He began sharing songs online and signed with Sony Music, releasing his debut album Ciencias Celestes in 2012. His subsequent albums La Idea Salvaje (2015) and Diferentes Tipos de Luz (2018) established him as a prominent indie artist in Spain and Latin America, with sold-out performances at venues including La Riviera, Razzmatazz, Teatro Metropólitan de CDMX, Lunario de Ciudad de México, and WiZink Center. He is also an author and illustrator who has published books alongside his music releases.
