Cari Cari is an Austrian surf-rock/psychedelic duo formed by vocalist/guitarist Stephanie Widmer and bassist/drummer Alex Freund. Drawing inspiration from ’60s garage rock, surf guitar twang, and dreamy indie pop, they craft energetic, reverb-soaked tracks that evoke both vintage cool and modern edge. Since debuting with the “Springtime” EP in 2014, Cari Cari has released full-length albums like Anaana (2018) and Good Times (2023), earning praise for their catchy hooks and sun-drenched grooves. Known for dynamic live shows across Europe, they’ve toured festivals such as SXSW and Reeperbahn, solidifying their reputation as one of Austria’s most exciting alternative rock exports.
