Capital Inicial is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1982 in Brasília. The group is known for their energetic rock sound that blends hard rock and new wave influences, emerging during Brazil's rock boom of the 1980s. Their style incorporates driving guitars, catchy melodies, and socially conscious lyrics sung primarily in Portuguese. The band became one of Brazil's most successful rock acts, with albums like "Independência" (1986) establishing them as key figures in the country's rock scene. Capital Inicial's sound is characterized by a raw, guitar-driven approach that helped define Brazilian rock during their peak years.
