Billy Sheehan — artist
Billy Sheehan has 4 upcoming shows, next at Jergels Rhythm Grille on Fri, Nov 6. Dates, venues and tickets on Ckord.
Billy Sheehan is an American bass guitarist known for his virtuosic playing style and technical innovations on the instrument. He rose to prominence as the bassist for the rock band Mr. Big in the late 1980s and 1990s, and has also performed with David Lee Roth, Talas, and The Winery Dogs. His sound is defined by rapid-fire tapping, slapping, and unconventional techniques that expanded the possibilities of bass as a lead instrument. Sheehan's influences include progressive rock and fusion, and he is widely regarded as one of the most technically skilled bass players in rock music. His work helped establish the bass guitar as a vehicle for complex, melodic soloing rather than purely rhythmic accompaniment.
