Angel is a glam rock, hard rock, and progressive rock band that employs a dazzling mix of these genres, known for their outrageous white-satin-heavy image and over-the-top stage shows. Discovered by Kiss bass player Gene Simmons, the group issued their self-titled debut album in 1975 and went on to release albums including On Earth as It Is in Heaven (1977), White Hot (1978), and Sinful (1979) before breaking up in 1981.
